SLOWING DOWN
Capturing these images was quite fun for me. Many of my teammates were asking why everything was so “blurry” and explaining to them the inspiration and purpose behind it was exciting. I have photos from two different days as I ran into an issue the first day so having to change my settings to accommodate the lighting difference was a process. It was much easier than I thought it would be. The longer shutter speeds went surprisingly well for me and I think it was because I used an ND filter. I think I spent the most time balancing my ISO and F stop because I had specific shutter speeds in mind for most of my photos. Continuing to capture motion in the sports world would be ideal but I also feel like capturing motion in public spaces such as subways or train stations. If I could do it again I would do it when I do not have to play as well, I was in a bit of a rush because I also had to suit up and play. The photos of my lacrosse warm ups were taken right before a scrimmage.
